Tourist trains in Madrid

Tren de Fresa

Tren de la Fresa (“Strawberry train”) leaves in spring and autumn (on Saturdays and Sundays, from 29.04 to October, except July and August). Since 1984, this train travels from Madrid to Aranjuez – the city known for its strawberry gardens. Its natural landscape falls within the UNESCO World Heritage List. “Strawberry train” leaves from the station Príncipe Pío.

Arrival: La Estación de Aranjuez (10:44).

Return to Madrid
Departure: Estación de Aranjuez (18:55).
Arrival: Madrid Príncipe Pío (19:48).

Tren de Cervantes

Miguel Cervantes, the most famous Spanish writer, was born in 1547 in Alcalá de Henares. As a reminder of this great man, el Tren de Cervantes (“The train of Cervantes”) travels from th station Atocha (Madrid) to Alcalá de Henares, presenting some of the most famous place from the novel “Don Quijote”.

Traveling through the city, we will visit the House-Museum of Cervantes, San Ildefonso University and other attractions. “The train of Cervantes” leaves from the station Madrid Atocha in spring, summer and autumn (on Saturdays from 08.04 to 09.12.2017, apart from August and 2nd of September).

Tren medieval a Sigüenza (“Medieval train to Sigüenza”)

The train to Sigüenza leaves on the following days – Saturday (22.04, 6, 20 and 27.05, 3 and 10.06, 23 and 30.09, 7, 21 and 28.10, 4 and 11.11)​. It will take you back to the times of medieval troubadours. The train leaves from the station Chamartín.

Departure from the station Madrid Chamartín: 10.05. – Guadalajara: 10.39 – Arrival in Sigüenza: 11.30.

Tren de Felipe

Since Saturday (08.07.2017), Madrid launches the new tourist train that goes from Madrid to the castle El Escorial.
“Felipe II” is a historical train that consists of 4 wagons, which was built in the 1940s (now they’re renovated).
The train leaves from the station Principe Pio and goes through Sierra de Guadarrama to the castle El Escorial.

Package № 1 “Royal legends”
You’ll be offered the travel through the woods of Felipe II and the spectacular visit to the garden “La Casita del Infante”, Basilica, royal court and the historical complex of the monastery San Lorenzo. The cost of the tickets is 27 and 15 euro for adults and kids, respectively.
Package № 2 “Imperia;”
This option includes the following guided tours: 1) visit to the monastery San Lorenzo and the royal monastery El Escorial. The cost of the ticket is 30 euro for adults and 20 euro for children.
